Refresh your Curriculum with Open Education Resources Online
Are you reviewing or updating your reading lists for the new academic year? This practical session delivered by the Libraries OER Team will introduce you to Open Educational Resources and show how they can help improve student access to learning materials.
OER can help reduce cost barriers for both institutions and students, support more accessible and adaptable formats, and provide students with continued access beyond the end of a module. Adding OER to reading lists can also support widening participation, lifelong learning, public access to knowledge and a more equitable and enhanced student experience.
During the session, you’ll learn how to find, evaluate and add Open Education Resources to your reading lists. You’ll also be introduced to ways of getting started if you would like to adapt or remix open materials for your own teaching.
This session will run at a couple of different times during the summer, so staff can choose the date and time that works best for them. Each session covers the same content, so you only need to book one session.
