Google and Google Scholar: Searching for Your Research Online

This one-hour online session is designed to help you become more knowledgeable about Google and Google Scholar.

By the end of the session participants will be better able to:

  • Identify the different databases available in the Google family
  • Explain the difference between Google and Google Scholar
  • Compare Google Scholar coverage with subscription databases coverage
  • Identify some of the issues around using Google and Google Scholar for literature searching
  • Use search commands for Google and Google Scholar.

This workshop contributes to your digital capabilities development related to the use of artificial intelligence in the areas of information, data and media literacy and proficiency and productivity..
