This hybrid event marks the official launch of the University of Leeds' Open Education Resources Policy, reinforcing the University of Leeds' commitment to openness as a foundation for inclusive, high-quality education.

Through a series of presentations and discussions, we will:

- Showcase open educational practices that place students at the centre of teaching and learning, with a particular focus on approaches informed by knowledge equity.

- Examine how openness is interpreted and applied within specific disciplinary contexts.

- Explore the role of educational technology in supporting equitable, student-led learning.

- Reflect on the interplay between institutional policy and pedagogical practice, and the conditions necessary for both to succeed.

This event invites educators, policy-makers, and students to engage critically with the principles and practicalities of open education in higher education today.

The event is hosted by the Knowledge Equity Network and the University of Leeds.
