Nicola Barnett Research Services Advisor Nicola has been working for the University of Leeds since 2001 in a variety of Library roles and has been working closely with Symplectic and the White Rose Repositories for around 8 years. In her current role she is responsible for REF and development of Symplectic for the Library. She works closely with colleagues in IT on upgrades and improvements to reflect and support the strategic aims of the University with functionality in our research support systems. The repositories and open access community is extremely collaborative; as well as being a member of the White Rose Repository Services group where the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York work together on our shared repositories, she also chairs the Symplectic User Group, which is mainly made up of colleagues from UK HEIs, where experience is shared and support provided to one another on shared technical and development issues. |
