Repair Cafe In-Person
Join us at the Library Makerspace in Edward Boyle Library for our monthly Repair Café co-hosted by the Library Makerspace and the Sustainability Service.
Skilled volunteers will be on hand to help you fix your broken items and keep them in use, including:
- Clothes, shoes, textiles, and jewellery
- Phones, laptops, and tablets
- Small appliances (kettles, toasters, desk lamps)
- Music and audio equipment (amplifiers, speakers etc.)
- Children’s toys
A Repair Café focuses on sharing the skills to repair your items. You will be able to make use of the facilities in the Library Makerspace, sewing machine and overlocker, soldering stations and hand tools.
There is no cost to use the Repair Café although you may find you need to purchase parts for some repairs. Our volunteers will be able to advise you on anything you might need as well as helping you with repairs.
No booking is required, just turn up any time between 1pm and 3:30 pm.
