What Assistive Technology Does the University Offer?
Attend this webinar to find out more from Tom Starkey (Assistive Technology Adviser, Disability Services) about technology available at the University of Leeds to help you to manage your studies. Assistive technology is a term for productions, systems, and services that help people with disabilities or impairments perform daily tasks, and can help with a range of difficulties, including memory and mobility problems.
This session can be booked here, and covers university-licenced assistive technology such as TextHelp Read&Write, Immersive Reader from Microsoft and MindGenius, a mind mapping tool.
It is open to all, whether you have a disability, suspect you may have, or if you want to find out more about tools that could be useful to you and consider the ways you access and document your learning.
This drop-in contributes to your digital capabilities development in the areas of digital proficiency and productivity.
To find out more about developing your digital capabilities through workshops and self-directed activities, visit the library website if you are a student, and the OD&PL website for staff. To find out more about Accessible Technology, you can visit the Equality and Inclusion website.
