Open Education Resources (OER) and the digitisation of Higher Education are presenting new opportunities to navigate the evolving knowledge landscape, inspiring new Open Education Practices globally.

In this session, Javiera Atenas (University of Suffolk) and Sandra Schön (Graz University of Technology) will come together to discuss their latest collaborative journal article entitled, ‘An Introduction to Open Educational Resources and Their Implementation in Higher Education Worldwide’, in conversation with Chrissi Nerantzi (University of Leeds).

The article details current implementation of OER in Higher Education and also proposes a series of future directions, including advances to pedagogical innovation, improved international collaboration, empowering educators, advocacy for OER and developing strategies around monitoring and evaluation of OER. A link to the article and a full list of the co-authors can be found online here: https://doi.org/10.34669/wi.wjds/4.4.3
