Welcome to the Library for New Postgraduate Researchers (In Person) In-Person
All new research postgraduates and doctoral students are invited to this interactive, face-to-face session to meet Library and Doctoral College staff as well as fellow researchers. You will find out what the Library has to offer to support you throughout your research degree. Doctoral College staff will answer questions on support issues beyond the library. This event will be centred around discussions with Library and Doctoral College staff as well as peers.
A warm welcome and refreshments will be provided from 9.50am.
Aims of the session
- To welcome you to the Library
- To introduce you to the key Library's services and staff who support researchers
- To provide an opportunity for you to ask questions
- To signpost the Library website and Library's Research QuickStart guide
You will meet a range of Library and Doctoral College staff and be invited to take part in conversations to learn what you need to know.
Key information will be provided in a short presentation. You will then explore what you need to know in conversation with Library and Doctoral College staff and peers.
