Structuring Sentences in Academic Writing (repeat) In-Person

In this workshop, you will learn the basics of sentence structure through a combination of facilitator presentation and interactive tasks. You will be introduced to the common errors of sentence run-ons and comma splicing before having the opportunity to practise correcting these errors in examples of academic writing. There will also be an opportunity to improve an example piece of student writing or your own, so please bring an example of your own academic writing to work on if you wish. This workshop is designed to be inclusive of everyone and therefore does not assume prior knowledge of grammatical terms.
