Introduction to University Systems Online

In this online session, you'll be introduced to the online systems, tools and apps available to you at the University, including:

  • The Minerva system, where you'll find all your learning resources for modules you participate in
  • The library search, where you can find resources for your independent study
  • Microsoft 365, where you can access software to help with practical elements of your studies like note taking and creating your assignments
  • Apps Anywhere, where you can find a range of additional general software, and any software specific to your programme of study

By attending this session, you'll receive a good overview of what the different systems and tools, are and how to find them - this will give you a good start to the year and help you save time searching for information as you become busier during the term. If you would like to find out more detail about specific systems and tools, please consider attending more workshops in the digital capabilities programme.

You can access this online webinar using your own device, or by using a device on campus.  To find out where you can access computers on campus, go to Spacefinder.

This workshop contributes to your digital capabilities development in the areas of digital proficiency and productivity.

To find out more about developing your digital capabilities through workshops and self-directed activities, visit the library website if you are a student, and the OD&PL website for staff.
