Exploring Ethics and AI In-Person

In this workshop we will explore issues relating to Generative AI and ethics, specifically focusing on the implications of potential biases in the outputs produced by GenAI tools. We will think critically about Gen AI outputs and reflect on what this means for your own studies. This session will involve the use of Microsoft Copilot, and you are encouraged to bring your laptop if possible.

  • Understand basic principles of how AI algorithms work and consider ethical implications
  • Examine types of bias that can be present in AI output
  • Explore the implications of this for academic work
