Promoting Research Integrity: Exploring Open Research as Best Practice

Promoting Research Integrity: Exploring Open Research as Best Practice Online

Open research practices, by promoting transparency, collaboration, and the sharing of research methodologies and data, are inherently linked to research integrity. They enhance accountability, credibility, and the overall ethical conduct of research. Join us for an open lunch webinar to explore these topics with the UK Research Integrity Office (UKRIO), a registered charity set up to provide independent and expert support on good research practice.

James Parry is the Chief Executive of UKRIO and leads its advisory service. He has contributed to numerous national initiatives, including ongoing development of the UK Concordat to Support Research Integrity and the recent “Reproducibility and Research Integrity report released by The House of Commons Science, Innovation and Technology Committee.  The University of Leeds recently became a subscriber to UKRIO and James is working with us to make the most of their expertise.

Emily Goodall is a member of the OD&PL team at Leeds focused on open research, research integrity and responsible research and innovation (RRI). Emily is working to develop training provision for researchers in these areas, including new online courses in research integrity and research ethics, launched in October.
